the love affair continues...

Our love affair with our feathered friends coninues to grow with the discovery of these heavenly birdhouses from Tamar Mogendorff.

Born and raised in Israel, Tamar's artistic instincts were encouraged by her highly creative family. She especially loved to make gifts by hand, crafting animals whose hand-stitched descendants make up her body of work today.

Tamar's dolls are peerlessly beautiful and radiate extraordinary purity. They are hand-stitched from linens, mohair wool, cotton, vintage fabrics, tweed, antique embroidery, pashmina and other fabrics, and incorporate antique and vintage buttons, beads, silver thread and old ribbons.

Collection available through kindergallery.

a hand with the washing up....

Tea towels and door snakes aren't normally the things dreams are made of - but these gorgeous creations are certainly a stylish take on an otherwise dull household essential.

Memi Designs is the initiative of Melanie Hayes, a Melbourne-based designer with a background in fine arts and design. The current collection was inspired by the tree top silhouettes through the Melbourne streets. All Memi products are made from natural materials, mainly linen and cotton. The fabrics are printed by hand, using traditional silkscreen methods and are produced locally to ensure quality standards and a commitment to ethical productions are maintained.

Visit Mimi at Magnolia Square in May where she is offering shoppers 2 botanically inspired teatowels for $40 or visit them at www.memidesigns.com.au

a bird in the hand....

A pattern seems to be emerging with our love of all things bird!

Moonmum ( AKA Belinda Moon) occupies a corner of the Etsy world filled with beautiful papers, preloved buttons, a well travelled sewing machine and whimsical critters waiting to be created!

We adore the ‘quartet of birds’ card set but there are so many more delightful designs to chose from. Framed, these would make a gorgeous alternative to canvas art. Pop into her Etsy store to see her soon to be released notebooks and bookmarks or have something custom made.

mini me....

Vintage inspired fabrics, old shiny buttons and wooly felts are worked by the clever hands of Danni Townsend-O’Neil at Red Wagon to create vintage inspired works of art. Danni devotes hours to lovingly fashion these charming little soft folk, all with a personality entirely of their own. Part of the attraction to their quirky look is the fabulous fabric, which on mass looks to be a patchwork quilt.

We love that these cute little dolls can be individualised to reflect the personality and look of the little person in your life. Select their hair and skin colour, clothing colourway and name ready to be given as a gift to be cherished forever. See the range of softie dolls and other vintage inspired gifts at Magnolia Square or on line at http://www.dannisdevinedesigns.com/
