a cosy cup....

Tea time is an important ritual. Due attention should be paid to the pot and the cups deserve special care too. Fortunately Linda Bloomfield and Ruth Cross have pooled their potting talents and created a tea set to satisfy the most selective tea aficionados.

Hand thrown, matt glazed pots and cups are snuggly wrapped in chunky hand knitted cosies in three natural colours, almond, silver birch or wildebeest. Available through Selvedge. Shipping to Australia can be arranged.

hare's the thing ...

This elegant rabbit was spotted minding his own business yesterday at the Melbourne Design Market. MDM is an eagerly anticipated part of the Melbourne International Design Festival for good reason. The vibe in the Fed Square underground carpark was humming as thousands flowed in for a look at Melbourne's best in design by emerging and established artists, graphic designers, jewellers and other clever types.

Sir Rabbit is by stick meon and can be found online and around town at these locations. Hop to it.

cute as a button...

Biscuit Bunnies! They're the most delightful guests to have over to tea. When they're not investigating the blend you prefer they like to sit quietly listening to the wind in the trees, thinking of buttons and balls of string.

Hand embroidered Biscuit Bunnies in rustic colours of Oatmeal, Gingerbread and Blue Meringue. Made of the softest baby blanket brushed drill cotton and corduroy priced from $55. Visit the Flying Star Toys Etsy store to ponder on more gorgeous little critters.

bound to be treasured....

Ben Mason and Natalie Crupi meld their love of old books and creative writing to create Rebound. Being avid readers they set about rescuing the best looking hard cover novels from dusty shelves in charity op shops, filling them with 100% recycled denim paper (completely tree-free and made from denim offcuts and scraps) and binding them with a sturdy wire to create one of a kind blank journals.

Each Rebound journal is hand made, each cover is unique, each page is hand cut and each binding is closed by hand. Prices start at $30 and are available online. Love these!!
