skip to Mag Square Brighton for this ...

LOVING THIS new range by Melbourne business make me iconic. Very excited to say that these fabulous products will launch at Magnolia Square Brighton later this week. What a great gift idea for someone overseas or what the heck, just for yourself!

I am particularly fond of little Audrey - aka skipping girl, who happens to light up the night sky very close to where I live. It is only very recently that Audrey has started skipping again; she was out of action for quite some time before AGL powered her up again. Victoria Street just wasn't the same without her! So pleased that I will now be able to hang her on the wall and dry the dishes with her!!

a spoonful of sugar.....

Magnolia Square is the stunning visual displays, each of which will beckon you in and demand a visit! Pru from Little Bird captured these images at the last fair and we have been desperate to get our hands on Willow Blossom ever since.

When Ge Warburton was growing up she loved to be with her crafty granny. Ge’s “ruthie” bags were inspired by the knitting bags that were always slung over the bed post or draped across a floral armchair at her gran’s house and designed to be used by all ladies of leisure and adventure.

Play Mary Poppins with a bag that is roomy and ready for anything..from craft bag to beach bag to handy everyday bag..and oh so scrumptious to look at! "This bag will be a friend for life" says Ge.

Launched earlier in the year at Magnolia Square. Willow Blossom handbags are handmade with love in Melbourne using pretty, feminine fabrics both new and reclaimed.

a sack of fun....

Maggie and Sparrow never fails to delight us and the latest offerings ready for Christmas don't disappoint.

Slightly bolder then before, we love the new colour palette and love how the patchwork of fabrics work together to create fun pieces with a tender country like charm. You will find the most divine Santa sacks ready to be filled with all the goodies collected on your Magnolia Square shopping expeditions.

For the keen little chef, crafter Kathryn has come up with a super cute apron and utensil set - no need to hide this one away in the bottom drawer!

meet Mandy herself.....

We are giddy with excitement with only days to go before our Sydney Christmas event. And even more delighted with the announcement that British illustrator Mandy Sutcliffe will be coming all the way from England to visit us at Magnolia Square!

Mandy is the beauty behind Belle and Boo, a captivatingly beautiful collection of illustrations centered around the carefree story-like lives of children, woodland creatures and other friendly folk. Each piece is reminiscent of times gone by, dotted with equal measures of quirk and naivety.

'Mandy’s deceptively simple and stylish images capture vividly those precious moments in time enjoyed by children. Whether it be feeding the birds and animals, hugging a tree or simply sharing a story with a friend, the experience conveyed is always pure, and often set in natural environments. '

Mandy will be visiting us on Saturday the 21st from 11am to sign prints and talk about her work. You will find her at Habitat Baby who stocks an adorable range of Belle and Boo prints. How lucky are we!!!

open doors....

Australian designer Ashling Punnett is the creative force behind Lilly and Lolly with a mission to end the current 'closed door' policy that so often applies to children's rooms. Lilly and Lolly is a complete designer solution providing beautiful linen, decor accessories and contemporary design orientated furniture.

The furniture range caters for children 0-16 years (and often beyond) and combines handcrafted Tassie Oak and classic white with clever storage and interesting, fun designs. The linen collections helps to bring a children's room to life, adding personality and a splash of colour. The team is careful to use only the finest 100% cotton fibres to ensure kids are kept cool and comfortable all year round.

Meet the Lily and Lolly designers at Magnolia Square in Sydney and get ready to keep 'the bedroom doors open'!

stopping all stations ...

A love of typography was the starting point for this business. Founder Tracy Strange loved the bold and iconic graphics of old tram banners and bus destination scrolls. Taking it one step closer to home Tracy launched a personalised service to create meaningful, contemporary art works which looked fabulous and did not cost the earth.

Customisations have been as simple as banners listing favourite travel destinations right through to banners listing marriage dates, childrens names and special places for a family. They have proven to be a terrific gift for husbands and fathers, weddings and special milestone birthdays.

Tracy's work was featured in the October 2009 edition of Home Beautiful.
Tram Banners will be at the Magnolia Square Christmas Event at the Malvern Town Hall 26, 27, 28 November - check for location and trading times.
